Fall 2019 Style Guide
Fall 2019 Style Guide
Family Photography
Each season brings some new style changes. These guides are just suggestions from color, to fit, or to actual pieces. Often times, we have some of these items in our closets, so I say shop there first before going anywhere else! If you’d like to shop for your outfits for your fall 2019 photo session, I recommend checking out second hand shops such as: Monkei Miles (San Francisco), ThredUp.com, Poshmark.com, Goodwill, etc. For new items, and for the inspiration found in these collages, the items can be found mostly at Old Navy, Gap, and Anthropologie.
Tips for dressing for photo sessions
(especially in chilly weather):
Layers. Always put under shirts on your kids and even yourself especially if you are wearing a blousy top. When kids get cold their lips turn blue and they often get emotional, as they should if they are cold, so please have them wear layers! If they are wearing dresses, have then put leggings on too.
Long Hair… consider that it could be windy. Either embrace the crazy hair or wear it back in a bun.
No Logos or writing on clothing.
Avoid white pants in outdoor locations as I will have you sit on the ground etc.
Lipstick or lip shine: consider wearing a lip stain because I will have you kiss your family members and you won’t want them covered in kiss marks (or maybe you do! It’s your photos).
You will be moving around a lot, so wearing clothing that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Clothing is an expression of ourselves, so please dress for yourself and not for me.
