I’m a parent too… I see you.
Photographing families is my jam. I feel very comfortable around kids of all ages (the perks of being a former teacher). I go into every session with the same hopes: to capture connection, emotion, and love that we often times can’t completely recall when thinking back to different periods of our lives. I totally get it! I am a mom myself, so I completely understand the blur of it all and how hard it is to remember certain stages. Yet, I still remember the feeling of never wanting to forget the tender moments or the funny ones.
I grew up in Newbury Park, California and moved to San Francisco in 2011 after meeting my now husband on match.com (turns out dating sites can work!). We loved making SF our home for 7 years. I was an elementary school teacher for many years, little kids are some of my most favorite people on the planet. During our years in SF, we welcomed two little boys! City life with kids was crazy, hard at times, yet extremely fun. In 2018, we packed up our city life to head on down to Austin, TX. We spent 3 years there, enjoying the hot and humid summers, large bugs, and tons of swimming holes. However, after welcoming our 3rd (and final) child in 2020… during the Covid pandemic, we realized that living far away from families was a big bummer. So, once again, we packed up and returned to the best coast… the west coast. We now live in Newbury Park, CA and it is incredible. I feel like I am living my dream life!
Photographing your family at every stage is incredibly valuable and important. Let’s do it before it passes!
